I spent six years building high performance sales teams and closed millions of dollars in direct sales. I've been on the receiving end of lead gen for years, so I know the pain of dealing with bad marketing.

Ethan Tryhubczak, founder of Cardos

During Covid I was with a solar company in California and we got really good with Meta ads. Covid was a blessing for me. It brought me into the world of closing deals from the internet. Leads on my calendar every day. After knocking doors in the California heat, that was a different world, and I got obsessed with learning it.

After six years of closing I wanted to move to the marketing and back end side. I moved to Colombia and met one of the best marketers I've ever seen. His agency was doing $300k a month. He liked my style and brought me in as director of strategic partnerships, then promoted me to creative director, and I ended up in client delivery too. Thrown into the arena, I learned quick. Funnels, hooks, ads, creative, nurture sequences, email campaigns, and what actually makes someone click.

One thing I noticed: a lot of bad marketers. People marketing for everyone and getting C's across the board. It clicked for me that I know solar and I know home services. It might not be the sexiest thing to market, but it brings in revenue.

Why I built Cardos

I could build the whole system instead.

In home services I watched lead providers charge five grand a month for twelve appointments, and people paid it, because it made sense to them. I could build the whole system instead. Install the infrastructure, and let the client own it. They'll want me to keep running it, and as long as they're making money and they own the system, we both win. If we ever part ways, they keep the thing that brings in the revenue.

That's the separation, and in 2026 I went all in on it, because nobody in this industry is doing it this way. You don't need to be the CEO of a company to own this. You might be a rep doing $100k to $250k, or $500k to a million, who works hard and still can't tell me consistently where the leads come from. Those are the guys I want to work with.

I didn't build Cardos to work with thousands of people. I built it to work with a small number of the right people and win together at a high level.

What I've learned running these campaigns

You can't judge an ad by its first few days.

You have to give it time, and you have to have confidence in yourself and in the process. One good lead can change an entire campaign.

We build the funnels with a higher barrier to entry on purpose. I'm not trying to collect thousands of people who want something for free. I want a hundred who are ready: good credit, ready to move, ready for the service.

Why everything goes in your name

I like ownership. I like to own things.

There are so many lead providers selling leads to keep you on the hook. You pay the fee, you pay the ad spend, and they own the data and the pixels. That's how I built this instead. Everything is in your name. If we ever part ways you keep the data, the retargeting, all of it.

What it's like to work with me

My ego stays out of it.

I'm faith driven and positive. When something isn't working I don't spend long worrying about it, I want to know what we can do right now. If the ad is bad, that's my responsibility and I'll own it.

The other side of that: if you're not doing speed to lead, if you're not doing your part, I'll call you on it. This is a partnership. If one side doesn't do their part, it doesn't work.
