Who we are
Cardos builds customer acquisition systems for businesses: ads, funnels, websites, CRM and follow-up. "Cardos", "we" and "us" in this policy mean us.
This policy covers cardosauthority.com, go.cardosauthority.com, and the emails and text messages we send. The sites and systems we build for clients carry those clients' own policies.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your name, email address, phone number and business name when you book a call or fill out a form.
- Your answers to the questions on our booking and intake pages.
- Anything you write to us by email, text or on a call.
- Billing details if you become a client. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.
What we collect automatically
- Our hosting providers log standard request data: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.
- How you found us: ad campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source), ad click IDs from Meta or Google, and the site that referred you. This is kept in your browser and sent with your booking so we know which ad or channel brought you in.
- How our videos were watched, which our video host, Wistia, records.
What we get from other sources
For outreach to businesses, we buy business contact details (name, work email, job title and company) from commercial data providers.
How we use it
- To answer you, schedule your call and prepare for it.
- To decide whether we're a fit, and to deliver the work if you become a client.
- To send the emails and texts you asked for, including booking confirmations, reminders and follow-up.
- To see which ads, channels and pages bring in the people we talk to.
- To contact businesses that may want what we build, by email.
- To keep the sites working and secure, and to meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for anyone else's advertising.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we'll text you about your booking, your application and our follow-up. How often depends on where you are in the process. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You don't have to agree to texts to buy anything from us.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Our clients' customers
When we build a system for a client, the data about that client's customers lives in accounts in the client's name, or in a CRM account we manage on the client's behalf. We use it only to do the work the client hired us for. The client's own privacy policy governs it. If you're a customer of one of our clients, contact that business first. We'll help them handle your request.
Browser storage and cookies
Our site saves the source information described in section 02 in your browser's local storage, so it survives from the first page you land on through to booking. The booking calendar (GoHighLevel), our videos (Wistia) and our network provider (Cloudflare) set their own cookies to work and to prevent abuse.
You can clear or block these in your browser settings. The site still works, although booking may not.
How long we keep it
We keep information as long as we need it for the reasons above: while we're talking, while we work together, and afterward as long as tax, accounting or legal duties require. If you opt out of our emails or texts, we keep your address or number on a do-not-contact list so we don't reach you again.
Your choices and rights
- Emails: reply "no" or use the unsubscribe link.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Browser data: clear your site data for cardosauthority.com.
- Access, correction or deletion: email us and we'll answer within 45 days.
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states, the law gives you specific rights over your personal information. We'll honor these requests wherever you live, and we won't treat you differently for making one. We may need to confirm who you are first.
Security
We limit access to your information to the people and tools that need it, and we use providers that encrypt data in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee that yours never will be exposed. If it is, and the law requires us to tell you, we will.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
